Lalla Rabia al-Adawiyya

Rabia al-Adawiyya of Basra (died 801), a poet and one of the earliest Sufi mystics.[1] Her nisba al-Adawiyya comes from her having been a freed slave of the tribe of Qays ibn Adi.[1]
