St Martin-in-the-Fields

Martin of Tours (316 or 336 to 397), the third bishop of Tours and the patron saint of many communities and organisations across Europe.[1] A native of Pannonia, he converted to Christianity young, served in the Roman cavalry in Gaul, and left military service before 361 to become a disciple of Hilary of Poitiers.[1]
