St. Benedict of Nursia

Benedict of Nursia (480 to 547), an Italian monk and the founder of the Order of Saint Benedict.[1] He is honoured in the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran, Anglican and Old Catholic churches, and in 1964 Pope Paul VI declared him a patron saint of Europe.[1]
