Additionally, the Battle of Mutah site might be of interest due to its historical significance. Located about 4 kilometers away from the shrines of Abdullah ibn Rawahah (r.a.), Jaafar ibn Abi Talib (r.a.), and Zaid ibn Harithah (r.a.), the Battle of Mutah site was where these venerable companions of the prophet Muhammad (s.) found their physical death against Byzantine forces. A companion and cousin of the Prophet Muhammad (c. 590 to 629), and an elder brother of Ali.[1] He is also known as Ja'far al-Tayyar.[1]
