Daniel (Prophet)
The main character of the Book of Daniel.[1] In the Hebrew Bible he is a noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem taken into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon, serving that king and his successors until the time of the Persian conqueror Cyrus, and remaining throughout true to the God of Israel.[1]
